Makerspaces

What exactly is a makerspace?

makerspaceSimply put, a makerspace is a place where you can make things. It’s a place for hands-on learning with all the tools for creativity and helps you turn your ideas into real, tangible objects.

Every library makerspace is different, but you might find 3D printing, audio-visual equipment, hand tools, Cricut machines, sewing machines, and t-shirt presses. You might also find computers and computing devices.

If you like to create, there is something here for you! Check out our event calendar!

Area 52 - Central Library

Area 52 is a makerspace featuring specialized equipment, hands-on workshops, and open lab hours. The space offers the tools you’ll need to build your next creative project, explore new interests, and create something original. Visit us on the second floor of the Central Library to learn more about coding, robotics, 3D printing, music and video recording, sewing, t-shirt design, and more! For more information regarding Area 52 please contact Programming Coordinator Jyna Johnson
