APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026 IS OPEN AND WILL CLOSE JANUARY 29TH 2025.
The next opportunity to be considered for Children's Services Investments will be announced in Fall 2025. An informational meeting was held on December 6, 2024 to provide information on the process at the Lakewood Ranch Library.
General Application Information
Consideration for investment originates from a recommendation provided to the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners based on several factors. Investments are awarded on a competitive basis and the priorities set by the Manatee Board of County Commissioners. Programs are paid on a reimbursement basis and are contingent upon the successful completion of the project and meeting the requirements of the executed agreement.

Eligibility
CHILDREN'S SERVICES PRIORITIES for fy2026:
A - Child Welfare: Children are safe in their homes, free from abuse or neglect
B - Education and Literacy: Children develop literacy skills necessary to be successful in school.
C - Mental and Behavioral Health/Wellbeing: Children have the skills necessary to function appropriately in relevant environments.
