Next Avenue is public media’s first and only national journalism service for America’s booming older population. Our daily content delivers vital ideas, context and perspectives on issues that matter most as we age.

SHINE
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and your local Area Agency on Aging. Specially trained volunteers can assist you with your Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance questions by providing one-on-one counseling and information. SHINE services are free, unbiased, and confidential.
Senior Connection Center
Senior Connection Center is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to help older adults and persons with disabilities live with independence and dignity. We achieve this by connecting seniors and their caregivers to the community resources, programs and services they need. Lately, we have found that some people want to give us a nickname – Senior Connection.
