REASON FOR SHUTOFF:
 Water Distribution will be replacing a fire hydrant & hydrant valve.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Wednesday, February 26, 2025) – Manatee County Utilities Department will be issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Notice for our customers from 24th Ave E & US 301 N, along US 301 N to Mark Ave & US 301 N, from 1108 24th Ave E, south to US 301 N, all of Plantation Bay, all of Highland Shores, 28th Ave E, Gary Ave & Mark Ave. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, after the water has been restored.

A fire hydrant & hydrant valve replacement will be scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The water will be shut off from 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Customers are advised that once service is restored, all water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled as a precaution. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey has shown the water to be safe, normally 24-48 hours. A Rescission Notice will be issued when lifted. If residents have any questions, they may call 941-792-8811 ext.: 5268 or 5216 between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Tuesday, February 11, 2025) – Manatee County Utilities Department has issued a rescission notice for our customers in Palmetto.

Terra Ceia Village RV Park at the address 9303 Bayshore Rd & also the Dollar General Store at the address 9315 Bayshore Rd.

The Wednesday February 5, 2025, Precautionary Notice is hereby rescinded. Bacteriological samples collected from locations in the area have been free of contamination indicating that the water is safe to drink.

The Thursday, January 28, 2025, Precautionary Notice is hereby rescinded.
Bacteriological samples collected from locations in the area have been free of contamination indicating that the water is safe to drink.
