Manatee County to roll out 3-1-1 number for non-emergency requests on March 11 at 3:11 p.m.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (March 4, 2020) – Contacting Manatee County for non-emergency help will become easier than ever before on March 11 when ten unique County information and request lines will be consolidated into one. Manatee County's new One Call Resolution Center will officially begin taking calls on March 11 at 3:11 p.m.
Anyone who dials 3-1-1 inside Manatee County will be able to report potholes and noise complaints, or just to get County information on local elected officials or flood zones. County information and request lines receive approximately 13,000 calls a month. The 311 system currently replaces 10 call lines for County services, with the goal of eventually replacing all 16 County service lines.
"This service will allow us to quickly and efficiently handle citizens needs while providing feedback along the way," says Public Safety Director Jacob Saur. "From potholes to complaints, citizens no longer need to know who to call. Just dial 3-1-1 and we will help you."
Callers will still be able to speak to County staff directly at their phone extensions. Anyone in Manatee County with an emergency should continue to call 9-1-1.
In addition to the 311 call line, residents can access the Manatee 311 web portal by visiting www.mymanatee.org/311 to report an issue or request a service online to locate the information they need. A smartphone app will also be available for iPhones and Androids. County officials expect that the web portal and app will be a great resource for residents who prefer self-service.
