Manatee County to host community meeting to discuss Lakewood Ranch Park improvements
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Oct. 10, 2018) — The Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources Department will host a community meeting on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the American Red Cross at Lakewood Ranch to discuss facilities, growth and vision for the future of the County’s projected “master plan” for Lakewood Ranch Park.
Since approval of the Half-Cent Sales Tax, several projects are being planned, including new pickleball courts, LED lighting for the tennis courts and soccer field, additional athletic LED field lighting for two soccer fields, a destination playground, a dog park, and a number of facility upgrades.
"This is your chance to join us and learn what your park system has to offer," said Parks' Recreation Manager Matt Porter.
The American Red Cross is located at 10311 Malachite Dr., Bradenton, FL 34211. If you cannot make the meeting, please complete a survey at http://bit.ly/lwrpark and tell us your thoughts about improvements at Lakewood Ranch Park.
