MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Aug. 10, 2020) – Manatee County is now accepting applications for four open seats on the Children’s Services Advisory Board (CSAB). The volunteer board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners about priorities and expenditures of the County’s dedicated millage for children’s services.
The CSAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The board meets weekly during the annual program funding review process and a full-day retreat in October each year.
To qualify for consideration, applicants must be residents of Manatee County. The open seats on the CSAB are for two- or three-year terms that begin October 1. The vacancies include:
- one NAACP representative
- one School Board representative
- two child advocates, not affiliated with any agency receiving County funds
Employees, owners or voting board members of agencies that receive funding from Manatee County, or individuals who contract with agencies that receive County funding, are not eligible to serve as a child advocate on this advisory board.
