Manatee County Historic Courthouse to close on two half days in August for fumigation tenting
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (July 27, 2018) – Manatee County Government and the Clerk of the Court's Office today announced that the Historic Courthouse will be closed to the public for crews to fumigate for termites on two half days next month.
The Courthouse, 1115 Manatee Ave. W., will close to the public at noon on Friday, Aug. 3 and reopen at noon on Monday, Aug. 6. The Clerk's Office and the County will host a press conference at the outdoor gazebo on the Courthouse's south lawn on Friday, Aug. 3 at 3 p.m. to answer questions about the need for fumigation and to talk about the preparations being made. Camera crews will be able to capture visuals of the tent draping the Courthouse later that day.
During the closure, the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office will offer limited services on the second floor Clerk's Annex of the Manatee County Judicial Center next door, including:
- Child Support Customer Service case managers will be available for walk-in interviews
- Court-related services to include marriage licenses and passport application processing.
