Manatee County accepting applications for Environmental Land Management and Acquisition Committee (ELMAC)
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 14, 2021) — Manatee County has two vacancies on the Environmental Land Management and Acquisition Committee (ELMAC), a citizen’s advisory committee which makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on environmental land acquisition and management issues, including recreational planning and programming of public lands.
The ELMAC also serves as the Tree Advisory Board to promote awareness of the County-wide tree canopy and tree education programs.
There are two vacancies on the committee for the following seats:
- One two-year term seat available to a member of the Manatee County School District
- One two-year term seat available to a year-round resident of Anna Maria Island or Longboat Key
Applications are due February 3, 2021 and may be found online.
The ELMAC group meets on the first Monday of every other month from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Manatee County Commission Chambers, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34205, or during the pandemic, the group meets virtually.
