Manatee County now accepting applications for Environmental Land Management & Acquisition Committee
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (June 15, 2018) – Manatee County Government is accepting applications for two vacant seats on the Environmental Land Management and Acquisition Committee (ELMAC).
ELMAC is a citizen’s advisory committee that makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on environmental land acquisition and management issues, including recreational planning and programming of public lands. The committee also serves as the Tree Advisory Board to promote awareness of the countywide tree canopy and tree education programs.
The group meets on the first Monday of every other month from 6 to 7 p.m. in the first floor Chambers of Manatee County Administration Building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
The vacancies are for the following seats:
- A one-year term for an at-large seat available to residents of Manatee County;
- A two-year term for an at-large seat available to a member schooled in Natural Science.
