MANATEE COUNTY, FL, (Jan. 11, 2022) – The 2022/23 application period for non-profit agencies interested in applying for human resources grants to assist Manatee residents will open on Thursday, Jan. 27 at noon.

The Human Services Division of Manatee County’s Neighborhood Services Department invests in programs through the Children’s Services Dedicated Millage to help disadvantaged children and families in the community, as well as from the General Revenue Fund to assist adult residents or provide other services throughout Manatee County.

For consideration of investment for Adult or Children's Services funding, applicants must meet the general eligibility requirements below:

  • Be recognized as a corporation under the State of Florida
  • Be tax exempt per the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3)
  • Provide proof of sufficient insurance coverage
  • Provide financial audit or compilation by an independent auditor certified in the State of Florida
  • Serve residents of Manatee County

Awarded on a competitive basis, investment amounts are determined by the Manatee Board of County Commissioners. Programs are paid on a reimbursement basis, contingent upon the successful completion of the project, the results (human gain) and achieving the requirements listed in the investment agreement.

Neighborhood Services representatives will conduct a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m., in which they will provide details about the investment-funding process. To register for that meeting, go to bit.ly/ManateeNPA23.

Updates, including Zoom meeting information, will be posted on the Neighborhood Services Apply for Human Services Funding Webpage at bit.ly/Manatee501c3App.
