MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Sept. 30, 2020) – Manatee County's new Building Official announces new Building Official Stephanie Raucci is a former construction business owner who superiors say will carry on the Building Department's longstanding reputation for stellar customer service.
“Stephanie has demonstrated a quality to lead people and see the big picture when it comes to the building industry,” said Building and Development Services Director John Barnott. “CJ Dupre’ set the standard for quality work and good customer service with the industry. Stephanie will continue forward that legacy.”
Stephanie takes over the role of building official from the retiring CJ Dupre’ who served as Manatee County Building Official since 2008.
“It’s an honor to represent Manatee County’s Building and Development Services and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be the next building official,” Raucci said. “I strive to be a successful liaison between our construction community and the Building Department to ensure understanding, efficiency, and value; while finding new ways to harness the advancement of technology to create a better permitting and inspections experience for all.”
As Building Official, Stephanie is responsible for all operations of Manatee County’s building services including Permitting, Plans Review, Inspections, and Floodplain Management.
Before joining Manatee County in 2017, Stephanie owned and operated her own construction company where she worked on residential construction, renovations, and structural concrete. She started her career in Manatee County as Building Plans Examiner/Inspections Officer. She progressed through the rankings to Senior Plans Examiner/Inspections Officer, then to Interim Plans Review Manager.
Throughout her time with the County, she obtained many licenses including a standard building plans examiner license, a standard building inspector license with one- & two-family dwelling certification add-on; and most recently, a building code administrator license (building official’s license); and a floodplain manager certification (CFM).
