MANATEE COUNTY, FL (February 12, 2025) - Manatee County is hosting a Pre-Construction Public Information Meeting for an upcoming roadway improvement project on 75th Street W. from 20th Avenue W. to Manatee Avenue W. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, 6510 3rd Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
This meeting will allow the public to learn more about the proposed improvements to 75th Street W. Guests will be invited to view project boards and plans. Project staff will also be on hand to answer questions and provide other project-related information. There will be no formal presentation, and guests may arrive any time between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
This roadway capacity-improvement project and Goes-With projects consist of approximately one mile of roadway between 20th Avenue West and Manatee Avenue West. The project will widen the existing 2-lane roadway to 4-lanes, creating a divided urban roadway (two lanes in each direction) with a raised median and/or center left turn lane. Safety and operational enhancements will also include intersection improvements at Manatee Avenue, pedestrian and bicycle facility upgrades including a shared-use path, drainage improvements and designated stormwater ponds, County utility upgrades/modifications, replacing and upgrading traffic signals as needed to accommodate the widened roadway, and additional lighting in conjunction with Florida Power & Light (FP&L).
