MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 17, 2025) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, January 20, to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
There will be no solid waste collection on Monday. Collections will be delayed by one day over the next week, with Monday’s collection on Tuesday, Jan. 21, Tuesday’s collection on Wednesday, Jan 22, etc. The Lena Rd. Landfill will be closed Jan. 20.
Manatee County Area Transit and the Anna Maria Island Trolley will operate normal daily routes.
Manatee County Libraries will be closed for the holiday and Tuesday, January 21, for staff development day. All locations, except Downtown Central (which is undergoing renovations) will reopen on Wednesday, January 22.
Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves, parks and beaches will be open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be also open.
G.T. Bray Recreation Center will be open from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20., C.V. Walton Racquet Center patrons will need to enter through the Recreation Center.
