MANATEE COUNTY, FL (July 28, 2023) – The highly anticipated Parrish Community Park will take another step closer to reality as County leaders gather to break ground on Friday, August 11 at 10 a.m.
The Manatee Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) recently approved $15.39 million in funding for the park—which will feature picnic shelters, a performance pavilion, shade structure, splash pad, playgrounds and other amenities. It is set to be built along the newly extended Ft. Hamer Road near the Parrish Community High School.
“Living in Parrish and North River is the American Dream come true,” said District One Commissioner James Satcher. “From growing families to those in their golden years, this park will be a symbol of prosperity and a place for the community to enjoy our many blessings.”
